Mr. Pitchford brought this drawing to us and wanted Dave to make this ring. This picture is how it all starts. He then carves a wax of the ring and then.......

We cast the wax in 14k white gold and get this rough casting.
|
We then set the diamonds into the rough casting and buff it.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
We then set the opals into the polished ring and we have a Finished 14k white gold mens ring with broad flash blue-green free form opals and channel set diamonds
|

Step 1: starts with a picture and a desire to make a three dimensional creation from your imagination........

Step 2: is a little imagination and a drawing......

Step 3: is to have the jeweler hand carve a wax of the piece........

Step 4: is to cast it in the metal of your choice in this case it is 14k Yellow Gold

Step 5: is to start polishing the rough casting of the ring.

Step 6: is adding nuggets and Rhodium plating the wings on the dragonfly to bring them out.

Step 7: is to bezel set the diamond in the center and set the blue diamonds into the eyes

Last step is to add the blue diamonds down the body of the Dragonfly.
